RVR-102, RVR-102A Radar level gauge.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
RVR-102 Radar Level Gauge is designed for measuring a level of liquid, pasty and some bulk/loose materials in storage tanks.
Radar level measurement technology does not require the direct contact with working agent and because of this has the advantage of the operating in conditions where the traditional submersible and contact sensors are polluted subject to corrosion.
The following parameters do not affect the level measurement accuracy:
      - different density and volume of substance;
      - the multiphase of substance;
      - the substance temperature in margins: from - 40 up to + 150 °C;
      - the pressure in tanks up to 10 bar.
Radar Level Gauge can be used for work with turbulent, aired, viscous and aggressive fluids, and with thick pastas, emulsions and suspensions. As well the device does not have moving parts so that it can be easily installed on the tank hatches.
Continuous frequency-modulated microwave signal, in unique 3-cm frequency range is used in the Radar Level Gauge for such a usage. The transmitter radiates the microwave signals toward to the working agent the narrow-band antenna. Receiver provides continuous comparison of radiated and reflected signals from the surface of substance. The frequency difference between radiated and reflected from signal resulting from modulation allows to determine a level of liquid. The microprocessor-aided processing of information provides the high measurement accuracy, and its adaptability allows to create computerized database of fluid flowrates respectively of quantity of controlled tanks furnished with Radar Level Gauges.
OPERATING CONDITIONS
      * The assemblies of Gauge located inside tank can operate in conditions of saturated vapor of controlled liquid under pressure up to 10 bar and temperature range of - 40 up to + 150 °C.
      * The assemblies located outside a tank can operate in temperature range of - 40 up to + 50 °C and humidity of 98% at a temperature of 35 °C.
      * The apparatus is equipped with units protecting it from electrical impulse-wave overloading caused by lightning discharge or industrial induce.

The equipment can be used for the level (volume) measurement of substances on enterprises of chemical, oil refining, food-processing, medical and other industries, with the aim of commercial accounting, and during a technological process as well.

     * 1. On reservoir through inspection window.
      On results of liquid level measurement is influenced essentially the distance to liquid surface and existence of different objects in the radiation zone. It is recomended to use the 2-d 3-d methods of radar level gauge installation with aim of keeping the required accuaracy in hard nexploitation wich is occured due to technological and other process.
     * 2. On reservoir with floating cover (the sensor is installed on the branch perforated pipe of 150-200mm diameter).
     * 3. Instead of antenna is used the perforated waveguide of 20-35mm diameter on the technological reservoirs with the disturbed surface.
DIMENSION OF BASE CONFIGURATION (mm).
      The flange of measuring block is attached to corresponded tank flange in upper by 8 bolts.
      The difference between the tank mounting flange plane and the horizontal should be more ±1°С.
      For measuring block power supply and communication with secondary transducer is used 4 wire line by shielded cable of 8...12mm external diameter. The line lenght is 500m.
      The secondary transducer is executed in the way of wall mounting box.
      Secondary transducer power is 220V AC.
      The secondary transducer is provided the calibration, the displaying of measured levels in digital tableau and the installation of control levels by using the keyboard.
      The block has standart computer and analogue outputs, and also relay outputs for 2 control and alarm level.
